“I am happy to share the recent success we have had with the Rescue One Connector boat. Just before and during Hurricane Matthew we experienced 2 very severe flooding events, one being a rainfall of 7 inches in 2 hours and 20 plus inches to follow. The first flooding event our Rescue One Connector was sent to the City of Fayetteville to assist with flood evacuations and later that evening we began experiencing severe flooding in our area. The boat handled flawlessly in the flood waters and can be credited with over 50 rescues and evacuations that night. When Hurricane Matthew struck us less than a week later the boat was once again put into service to rescue and evacuate citizens and once again it proved to be a valuable in flood waters as well as swift water life saving tool. During the Hurricane Matthew event our department rescued or evacuated 60 plus victims of the flood waters within a couple of hours with no issues in the performance of the boat. I credit the design and function of the boat with keeping the rescuers and victims safe during this very dangerous event.”
